Feeling of Peace
The Gentle Quiet of Day's End
The Gentle Unfurling
A gentle quiet, like a settling dust,
Descends upon the edges of the day.
The hurried whispers of the world, they rust,
And soft contentment finds its tender way.
No urgent clamor, no demanding sound,
Just breath that eases, steady, deep, and slow.
Where troubled thoughts no longer can be found,
A silent current, peaceful as its flow
Inward Sanctuary
It isn't absence, not an empty space,
But fullness found in every simple thing.
The quiet hum of grace within this place,
The subtle comfort that the moments bring.
A warmth that spreads, from spirit to the bone,
A soft release, a letting go of strain.
A sanctuary, where I'm not alone,
But intertwined with calm, through sun and rain.
An Enduring Calm
A profound knowing, settled and so deep,
That all is well, within this quiet hour.
A promise that the weary soul can keep,
A gentle strength, a quiet, growing power.
This feeling of peace, a precious, fragile bloom,
Unfurling slowly, chasing every fear.
Dispelling shadows from life's busy room,
And holding stillness ever, ever near.
