The Sky Always Finds Its Way Back Home: A Poem on Stillness
![]() |
| A poetic morning reflection on watching the sky bend over Vieux-Fort. Learn to wait in the stillness until the poetry and light return. |
I saw the sky bend yesterday,
stretching a silent, colorful spine
over the bright walls of Vieux-Fort.
It didn’t shout;
it simply rested against the heavy clouds,
a gentle arch of promise
waiting to be noticed.
Sometimes the spirit must do the same—
watch, wait, and listen in the stillness,
holding its breath until the poetry arrives.
We walk through the shadows of the morning,
but the sky reminds us of what remains:
before the fracture, there was light.
And after the storm,
the color always finds its way back home.
