The Empty Room: An Expanded Poem on New Beginnings and Transition
Sunlight through an empty hall and a quiet strength inside my chest. πΏπ Step into this expanded reflection on the blog today!
The Empty Room
I count the walls that held my quiet grace,
The shelter where I bloomed and learned my name.
There is no lingering regret inside this space,
Just gratitude for how far I have came.
Two boxes left to tape upon the floor,
A life neatly folded, patient and still,
Waiting to step beyond this open door,
To trace the horizon past the green hill.
I leave a blessing on the timber frame,
And hand the key back to the silent land—
For every room I enter, non-the-same,
I carry my own rhythm in my hand.
Now sunlight whispers through the emptied hall,
Unmasking corners where my prayers were born.
I do not mourn the shadows on the wall;
I welcome in the breath of early morn.
The sea is calling from a distant crest,
Where greener leaves will cradle what comes next.
I pack the quiet strength inside my chest
And step out light, unburdened and unvexed.
