Echoes of What Was
The Monochromatic Form
![]() |
| The heart recalls a perfect, flawless scene, a golden haze, where every 'what if' held possibility, now echoing in the quiet truth of today. |
The Golden Haze
A quiet whisper, from a time long spun,When dreams wore colors, vibrant, bold, and true.
Each whispered promise, underneath the sun, A perfect vision, shimmering anew.
We built our castles, sky-high, in the mind, With laughter ringing, boundless and so free.
A golden haze, the past we leave behind, Where every 'what if' held possibility.
The heart recalls a perfect, flawless scene, A curated joy, untouched by dust or blight,
A tender memory, forever keen, Bathed in a pure, an unblemished light.
The Edges of Today
Then morning breaks, and reality takes hold, A different landscape, carved by shifting years.
The vivid story, now more subtly told,With quiet lessons, calming old-held fears.
The edges blur where 'was' meets what now 'is, A softer truth than childhood's grand design.
The echo lingers of each fragile kiss, A phantom touch, a bittersweet divine.
The vibrant hues may settle into gray,The lofty spires reduced to sturdy stone,
As yesterday surrenders to today, And what we dreamt is quietly outgrown.
A Lingering Truth
Yet in that blend, a beauty we can find, A deeper wisdom, in the gentle shift.
The dream, a compass held within the mind, The present moment, a resilient gift.
For what was dreamt, though not in form it stays, In spirit lives, a guiding, steady gleam.
Remains a truth through life's unfolding maze,The enduring echo of a cherished dream.
