A Tapestry of Senses
Dew-Kissed Bloom
The Scent of Then
A scent, unbidden, drifts upon the air, Of sun-warmed earth, or rain on summer dust. A phantom sweetness, banishing all care, A memory stirred, a fragile, tender trust. The tang of salt, from waves that softly crashed, The subtle perfume of a garden bright. Each breath a journey, swiftly, keenly flashed, To moments bathed in an ethereal light. The taste of laughter, lingering on the tongue, A bittersweet, a joy that still remains. A song of solace, beautifully sung, Through quiet joys and softly falling rains.
A Touch of Time
The brush of silk, the roughness of a stone, A gentle hand, that once held mine so tight. A fleeting warmth, a feeling deeply known, Illuminating shadows of the night. The distant murmur, of a childhood street, The rustle of the leaves, a whispered plea. Each sound a rhythm, bittersweet and sweet, Unlocking scenes the heart longs still to see. A splash of sun, a pattern on the floor, The vibrant hue of skies, forever vast. Opening wide a long-forgotten door, To images designed by time to last.
The Soul's Recall
This tapestry, woven with threads unseen, Of touch and taste, of sound and scent and sight. Remembrance blossoms, vibrant and serene, A quiet solace in the fading light. For in these details, keenly felt and true, The soul revisits paths it walked before. And finds the essence, beautifully anew, Of cherished dreams, forever to explore.
