The Accidental Sunrise: Unplanned Moments & Morning Quiet
The Accidental Sunrise
![]() |
| A quiet morning moment in St. Lucia as a lone figure stands on the shore, watching the early light break through the twilight sky over the ocean. |
I walked out with empty hands,
no intention to hold the light,
just stepping through the quiet edge
where morning swallows night.
The palm trees stood in silhouette,
the ocean hummed its quiet plea,
and without a plan, without a sound,
the dawn gave itself to me.
No heavy weight, no golden glass,
just tide and sky and open air—
a reminder that the richest things
are found when we just show up there.
