There is a dense, almost heavy beauty in the woods when dusk begins its approach. Tonight, as my feet tracked the familiar rhythm of the earth beneath me, I watched the canopy shift from vibrant green to deep, intricate networks of silhouettes against an evening sky. From a distance, the branches looked like a solid wall of shadow—impenetrable, dark, and closed off.
But the forest never truly closes its doors to the light. If you stand still long enough beneath the weight of heavy leaves, you notice an intentional design. The branches do not choke the light; they cradle it.
